This house was built early in the 19th century (circa 1820) and was originally in the Federal style. In 1873 it was purchased, added to and renovated in the then current Victorian manner by Captain Vail.

Set amidst an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, Quintessentials, built by Captain Leek in 1840, is a gloriously restored, spacious, 15-room Victorian house complete with charming Widow’s Walk and modern day spa.
