The inn was built in 1916 on a prominent corner lot in Cameron Park, a National Register historic district. Developed in 1910, Cameron Park was marketed as Raleigh’s first planned “sub-division”.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Raynor-Stronach House, built in 1871. It is one of the four surviving homes of the 11 original homes that started the Oakwood Neighborhood,

The Gray Fish Richardson House, the historic name for The William Thomas House, was built in 1881 for Caro and Robert Gray, an attorney.
